Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) / 403(b) Information

What Is a TSA/403(b) and Why It Is Important to Participate?

A Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA), also called a 403(b) plan, is a retirement savings program designed for school employees and other non-profit workers. It lets you set aside money directly from your paycheck into a personal retirement account — helping your savings grow and your future look brighter.

With a TSA/403(b), you can choose:

  • Traditional 403(b) – Contributions are made before taxes, lowering your taxable income now. You’ll pay taxes later when you withdraw the money in retirement.
  • Roth 403(b) – Contributions are made after taxes, so withdrawals in retirement (including growth) can be completely tax-free if rules are met.

 Either way, you’ll benefit from:

  • Flexible contribution amounts that fit your budget.
  • Investment choice to match your goals and comfort with risk.
  • Potential long-term growth through the power of compounding interest.
  • Control over your future — start small, grow over time, and adjust when needed.

Every dollar you invest now is a step toward financial freedom later. Whether you prefer tax savings today or tax-free income tomorrow, your TSA/403(b) puts you in charge.

Your future is worth investing in — and the sooner you start, the more your money can grow.
