- Use Sans Serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Verdana) – these are easier to read.
- Use font size 18pt or larger for slide content.
- Ensure high color contrast between text and background (e.g., black text on white background or white text on black).
Alt Text is Added to any Images
Emojis are used in an accessible way
Ensure captions are available and turned on in any video included in the presentation.
Use ASL interpretation where needed or provide access to an interpreted version or live interpreter during the presentation, if needed.
For audio content (e.g, podcasts), include a transcript on the slide or as an attached document.
Use Accessible Slide Layout and Design
Use descriptive link text (e.g., “ISD 917 Homepage” instead of “Click Here”). Avoid using full actual hyperlinks as screen readers will read the entire link aloud.
Avoid using multiple text boxes on the same slide or page.
If tables are necessary, be sure to add a HeaderRow that is repeated at the top of each page.
