RAFT
What is it?
A writing framework to help students process content knowledge while considering audience, purpose and format.
RAFT stands for:
Role: Who or what are you supposed to be? What is this person’s personal perspective?
Audience: Who are you writing for? What does your role want them to know, understand or believe?
Format: What format will your writing take?
Topic/task: What are you writing about? What's your purpose?
