MTSS

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a systems approach.

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is an integrated approach to providing students with the instruction and interventions they need across academic and social/emotional domains. Using collaborative and data-driven decision making processes, as well as evidence-based practices, teams of educators develop and evaluate instruction with the goal of meeting students’ needs. MTSS is operational all day, every day, and for all students (Adapted from Caton & Little, 2022).

The goal of MTSS is to meet student needs. Some sites will focus on Tier 1 work first. Others might dive into Tier 2.
